Children Dental Care
Atria-City Junior Dental Care was established in 1998. It has been providing specialist paediatric dental care to young children from infancy to teens for more than 25 years.
Our orthodontic and paediatric dental care services are provided by an experienced and highly qualified team of specialists and general dental surgeons led by our specialist orthodontist and paedodontist.
We specialise in areas such as growth and development, child psychology, treatment of traumatic injuries, sedation, oral rehabilitation of very young children under general anaesthesia, dental care of children with special needs and specialised procedures unique to young children and teens.
We also provide general dental care for children, which includes the child’s first dental visit and assessment at 12 to 18 months, preventive dental care maintenance with prophylaxis, fluoride treatment, sealants and oral hygiene instruction.
We are well-equipped with the skills required to perform procedures unique to the needs of children and adolescents.
Incorporating the use of books, videos, toys, graphics, and colourful decor, the Junior care team endeavour to make your child’s visit an enjoyable and lively experience.
Our practice is family-oriented, with the aim of helping both children and parents feel comfortable and at ease.
We help your child build and maintain positive attitudes towards dental healthcare for a lifetime.

At What Age Should Your Child Visit the Dentist?
- Infants (0-12 months): Schedule the first dental visit when your child turns one or within six months of their first tooth eruption. This visit helps in assessing oral health and provides guidance on proper infant oral care.
- Toddlers (1-3 years): After the initial visit, aim for check-ups every six months. This ensures that any potential issues are addressed promptly.
- Preschoolers (3-5 years): Regular visits allow the dentist to track your child’s dental growth, including the emergence of primary teeth and any alignment issues.
- School-Aged Children (6-12 years): By age 6, most children begin to lose their primary teeth and develop permanent ones. Regular check-ups help monitor this transition and identify any orthodontic needs.
- Teens (13-18 years): As children grow into teens, regular dental visits become crucial for maintaining oral health and addressing any issues such as cavities or gum disease.
How Paediatric Dentistry Benefits Your Child’s Oral Health
- Early Detection of Dental Issues: Regular visits ensure that any issues, such as cavities, misalignment, and developmental concerns, are addressed promptly. This reduces the need for more extensive treatments in the future.
- Creates a Positive Experience: Paediatric dental practices are designed to be child-friendly. This positive environment encourages children to develop a healthy attitude towards dental visits, reducing anxiety and fear.
- Support for Orthodontic Needs: Paediatric dentists monitor dental development closely and can provide early referrals to orthodontists if needed, ensuring timely interventions for optimal dental alignment.
